Leaves on drying dark brown to black on both surfaces; leaves simple , alternate, leaf-blade small, glabrous on both surfaces, sometimes waxy above, ovate- elliptic, papery to thinly leathery; margin entire; base broadly wedge-shaped; apex slightly abruptly tapering with long & slender but rounded tip; midrib shallowly sunken & glabrous above, faintly raised & glabrous below; lateral veins obscured on both surfaces, less so below, arching & disappearing near the margin; intercostal veins obscure |
