Leaves on drying black or dark brown on both surfaces; leaves simple alternate, leaf blade big to moderately large, glabrous on both surfaces, elliptic, thinly leathery to papery; margin entire; base slightly rounded, apex slightly abruptly tapering with short & quite broad tip; midrib glabrous, flat to very thinly raised above, raised below, much darker than the colour of the lamina; lateral veins glabrous, raised on both surfaces, less so above, arching & joining quite far from the margin form |
