Leaves on drying dark dull brown on both surfaces; leaves simple & alternately arranged, leaf blade big, very scabrous on both surfaces, obovate to narrowly elliptic, unequal blade, thick & stiff, papery; margin toothed & hairy from the base to the apex; base asymmetric with one wedge-shaped & the other broadly heart-shaped; apex acute to narrowly acuminate gradually to slightly abruptly tapering with short to quite long, narrow & pointed tip; midrib raised & densely rough long-hairy or scabrous |
