Leaves on drying bright green to grey on both surfaces; glabrous on both surfaces on old leaves, papery, elliptic to elliptic-obovate; margin entire; base wedge-shaped; apex gradually tapering with short, blunt tip; midrib flat, slender, raised and covered with red hairs below; lateral veins flat to hardly raised, faintly visible to invisible on both surfaces, widely spaced, looping and disappearing towards the margin; intercoastal veins invisible on both surfaces.
