Formerly Aralidaceae. Leaves on deeply lobed, on dry dull black to brownish black on both surfaces, papery, slightly glossy above; epillitic to broadly elliptic; margin deeply lobed entire; base very broadly wedge-shapped to oblique; apex shortly acuminate; midrib raised on both surface, less so below; main lateral veins 2-3 pairs with sublateral veins, visible & faintly visible to obscure on both surfaces. petiole grooved, seems to be almost clasping the twig, black, flat & wrinkled on drying. |
