| Plant Information |
Robust rattan, climbing to 8m. Stem without sheaths 2cm dia, with sheath 3cm diam. Internodes 15cm, knee present, vestigial flagellum present up to 20cm, but dead and broken in most cases for this individual. Sheats dull green, armed with scattered, black tipped spines with convex bases and jagged, more or less hairy margins. Leaves c. 3m, including 1.5m cirrus and 20cm petiole. Leaflets 33 each side of rachis, irregularly grouped in 4-6s. |
