| Plant Information |
Solitary, moderately robust rattan climbing to 5m with some length of stem also on the ground, the lower part shedding its sheaths. Internodes c.15cm, small knee present. Sheaths dull green, densely covered in flat, somewhat downward pointing, yellow spines to 4 cm in length, interspersed with shorter, finer, upward-pointing, brown-tipped spines. Leaves c. 4.5m, including 1.5m cirrus and 50cm petiole. Leaflets c. 25 each side of rachis, grouped into 1-4s. Male inflorescences at anthesis present |
