Plant Information |
Short, clustering, undergrowth palm to no more than 50cm. Stem without sheaths 1cm dia. With sheaths 2cm. Sheaths pale green with ample brown indumentum, armed with partial collars of stout green spines which leave conspicuous spine shadows. Largest leaf 60 cm, including petiole to 30 cm, ecirrate. Leaflets c. 52 each side, narrow, linear, close regular. Petiole erect, whereas leafleted portion is horizontal. Gelatinous exudate surrounding emerging, unexpanded leaf. |
