Juvenile, non-climbing individual. Stem without sheaths 10mm, with sheath 15mm. Sheath green with sparse yellow spines that continue along the petiole. Oldest leaf 1m, including 70cm petiole. Leaflets 7 each side of rachis, glossy, lanceolate with acuminate tip, somewhat drooping. Apical leaflet pair joined for over half their length. Rachis with abundant red brown indument, emerging leaf thickly covered in such indument, subtended by a papery, tattering bract c. 15cm. |
