Slender, solitary rattan to 6m. Stems without sheaths 8mm dia, with sheaths 15mm dia. Internodes 10cm, knee & flagellum absent. Sheaths green, turning yellow brown towards petiole, longitudinally streaked with green-brown, sparsely armed with incomplete whorls of flat, brown spines below petiole, longer, sparse brown spines at sheath mouth. Leaf to 2 m including 60cm cirrus and 40cm petiole. Leaflets 17 on each side of rachis, regular, mid green, concolorous |
