| Plant Information |
Acaulescent, clustering, undergrowth palm. Base with sheaths c.4cm dia. Without sheath 2.5cm. Sheath green with black induments towards base, conspicuous spine shadows, armed fairly sparsely with yellow-brown spines which are whorled towards the base. Leaf c. 3m long, including 70cm petiole, some with small cirrus to 6cm. Leaflets 33 on each rachis side, dark green, paler undersurface, distinctly mucronate with long drip tip, rather stiff, held horizontally. |
