Moderately robust, clustering rattan to 5m, stems without sheaths 1mm dia. With sheath 15mm dia. Cut surface of cane producing white exudate. Internodes 15cm. Sheats dull green, covered in abundant purple/brown indument, armed evenly with green/brown, flat spines, spine shadows conspicuous. Leaf 2m, including 1m cirrus, petiole absent. Leaflets c. 15 each side of rachis, regular, dark green, glossy, paler undersurface, thick and leathery. Basal leaflets reflexed across stem. Female inflorescence |
