Opposite leaves, no stipules, thick petiole, base pinnate; no latex. Small tree approx. 7cm dbh & 10m tall; not widely branching but in small whorls of leaves, each with long axillary infructescence with approx. 20 red-violet dehiscent fruit; 2 seeds per fruit; in immature (non-dehisced) fruit; seed is white; at maturity seed enclosed in orange-red aril. |
