Tree 15m tall. Bark scaly & flaky. Calyx pale brown; petals 5, each 5cm length, elliptic, bright red inside, pale red outside; filaments bright red, stamens free (not in bundles) & of various length, anther cream; ovary cream; style cream; stigma yellow; flower buds greenish brown & scaly. Flowers ramiflorous up to 3 flowers in a bunch, strong odour. |
